MUSCAT: The Supreme Judiciary Council on Tuesday held its first meeting in 2026 under the chairmanship of Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidy, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council.

At the outset of the meeting, the Council valued efforts made during the past year, including the smooth functioning of the judicial system, promptitude in the settlement of legal cases, the stability of judicial rulings and accelerated digital transition featuring the expansion of electronic services extended to members of the public at the courts, the Public Prosecution Department and the offices of the Notary Public.
