Final rounds of 'Reading Star' competition begin

SUHAR: The final rounds of the 7th edition of the 'Reading Star' competition, organised by the Directorate-General of Education in Al Batinah North Governorate, began on Sunday at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Library in Suhar.


More than 280 participants from various age groups are taking part in the competition.


The final rounds will continue until February 9, 2026.


A specialised jury will oversee the evaluation criteria, which focus on the rate of reading, the accuracy of documentation, the diversity of reading topics, speaking skills and voice clarity. - ONA
