Washington -  US President Donald Trump has threatened tougher attacks on Iran's infrastructure again, writing on his Truth Social platform that the US military had "not even started destroying what's left in Iran."

"Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants!" Trump wrote late onThursday, adding: "New Regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, FAST!"

It was initially unclear what exactly he meant. The remarks appeared to refer to Trump's earlier warnings that Iran's leadership had to agree to a deal to end the war before it was too late and nothing was left of the country.

Trump has previously threatened attacks on power plants and electricity infrastructure if Tehran rejects an agreement with the United States.

Earlier on Thursday, the US military bombed an important motorway bridge near Tehran.

The US and Israel have been attacking Iran since February 28, while Iran is carrying out retaliatory strikes against Israel and countries in the region that have a US military presence.
