Muscat: The Ministry of Information has reminded all media institutions, media-related activities and professionals working in licensable fields to complete procedures for regularising their legal status before the end of the grace period on March 14, 2026.
In a statement, the ministry said the reminder comes in accordance with the provisions of the Executive Regulations of the Media Law. The move aims to strengthen professional regulation within the media sector and ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
The ministry stressed the importance of adhering to the stipulated timelines, noting that completing the procedures within the grace period will help avoid any potential legal or administrative consequences.
For further clarification, the Ministry of Information has advised concerned parties to contact the relevant departments during official working hours or communicate via the designated email addresses. Dedicated contact points have been provided for the Artistic Works Licensing Department, Media Activities Department, and the Press and Media Licensing Department.
