Muscat: The Labour Inspection Department at the Directorate General of Labour Welfare conducted an extensive inspection campaign targeting recruitment offices for non-Omani manpower across Muscat Governorate.

The campaign covered 166 offices, with legal measures initiated against those found violating the provisions of the Labour Law and its Executive Regulation (2011/1).

The Ministry of Labour stressed that institutions and companies engaged in manpower recruitment must obtain an operating licence in line with the Executive Regulation to avoid legal accountability. The requirement is outlined in Articles (31) and (143) of the Labour Law.

The ministry further urged citizens and residents to ensure that recruitment offices are duly licensed and to report any suspected violations through the electronic reporting system.
