Muscat: Scattered rainfall has been recorded over parts of Muscat, as the latest satellite images show continued cloud build-up affecting several regions of the Sultanate, according to the Civil Aviation Authority.

In an update issued at 8:07 am on Monday, the authority said cloud activity is continuing over the coasts of the Sea of Oman, with further chances of intermittent rain during the coming hours.

The forecast indicates ongoing cloud movement and formation over the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Sharqiyah, and Al Dhahirah, with isolated rainfall possible in some areas. Clouds are also advancing over Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Muscat, and parts of the Al Hajar Mountains.

The authority also warned of low cloud formation and fog over parts of Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, and Dhofar, particularly during late night and early morning hours, which may lead to reduced horizontal visibility.
