Muscat: The Royal Oman Police has arrested two individuals in separate operations for possessing large quantities of narcotic substances with the intent to traffic.

In the first case, the Directorate for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances at the North Al Batinah Police Command arrested an Asian national in the Wilayat of Suhar. Authorities said the suspect was found in possession of large quantities of marijuana and morphine intended for trafficking. Legal procedures are currently being completed against him.

In a separate operation, the General Directorate for Drug Control and Psychotropic Substances arrested an Arab national in the Wilayat of Bausher after monitoring and tracking his activities. He was found in possession of crystal meth, marijuana, and psychotropic pills intended for trafficking.
