Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate have arrested two individuals on charges of possessing counterfeit national currency and attempting to exchange it for official banknotes through one of the local banks.

Authorities confirmed that legal procedures are being completed against the suspects, who were caught in possession of forged Omani banknotes.

The ROP urged members of the public to exercise caution when dealing with currency, stressing the importance of reporting any suspicious notes immediately. Citizens and residents were also reminded to avoid attempting to exchange counterfeit money, as doing so exposes them to legal accountability.
