MADRID: The Sultanate of Oman participated on Wednesday in the International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR 2026, held in the Spanish capital, Madrid, from 21 to 25 January.
The Omani delegation includes a number of institutions and companies operating in the travel and tourism sector, hotel establishments, and several strategic partners.
Through its participation in FITUR 2026, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism aims to strengthen Oman's presence in one of the world's largest travel and tourism exhibitions. It seeks to highlight Oman as a sustainable global tourist destination that offers diverse, innovative tourism patterns and luxury experiences.
The Ministry is also working to introduce the latest developments in Oman’s tourism sector and hold meetings with major international tourism companies to discuss sector-specific topics. Additionally, the delegation is attending accompanying conferences and seminars that showcase the latest updates, statistics, and trends in the global travel and tourism industry. The participation provides an important promotional and economic platform for Omani tourism companies, enabling them to establish direct communication channels with major global tourism firms through the exhibition's database. - ONA
