MUSCAT: The sixth edition of the Oman Perfume Exhibition opened today at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together more than 200 exhibitors from local, regional and international markets, highlighting the Sultanate of Oman’s growing stature in the global perfume industry.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyida Basma bint Fakhri bin Taimur al Said. Running until January 28, the exhibition reflects strong momentum in Oman’s perfume and luxury goods market, driven by rising demand for premium products and the expanding presence of international brands.
Positioned as a specialised marketing and investment platform, the exhibition supports business and shopping tourism by attracting visitors and delegations from abroad, boosting hotel occupancy and stimulating activity across the hospitality, services and restaurant sectors.
Visitors can explore exclusive product launches and signature fragrances through an immersive experience that blends heritage with modern design, craftsmanship and innovation. The event attracts perfume enthusiasts, high-end consumers, retail professionals and commercial buyers, creating a vibrant meeting point for commerce, culture and the art of perfumery.
This year’s edition also marks the launch of a new visual identity inspired by Oman’s rich heritage and its historic links to scents and aromatics. The identity celebrates Oman’s legacy as the “Land of Perfumes”, drawing on the frankincense trade, the roses of Al Jabal Al Akhdhar and ancient aromatic trade routes.
The exhibition features leading regional perfume houses, prominent international brands and industry experts. New participants include Saudi brands Laverne and Assaf, influencer Noor Stars’ brand Nafas and Indian brand Naqwa, alongside established names such as Deraah, Ibn Sheikhan and Ghazali. Fintech firm QPay is also participating, reflecting the diversity of exhibitors.
Last year’s edition attracted more than 30,000 visitors, underlining the exhibition’s growing popularity and commercial impact. — ONA
