Since its launch, Muscat Nights has drawn visitors from across the Sultanate of Oman with a rich mix of venues and experiences that transform public spaces into vibrant hubs of culture, entertainment and community life. Among this season’s standout destinations is Wadi Al Khoudh, a venue that has carved a distinctive identity by putting outdoor adventure and extreme activities at the heart of the festival experience.

Located between Al Khoudh and Maabela, Wadi Al Khoudh blends dramatic natural scenery with high-energy entertainment.

Designed as an open-air destination for the whole family, it reflects Muscat Nights’ wider ambition to revitalise domestic tourism, encourage community participation and support small local businesses. Food stalls, SME kiosks and live performances create a festive atmosphere that is both welcoming and dynamic.

At the centre of the action is the Adventure Zone, one of the most popular attractions at Muscat Nights. Built around movement, exploration and challenge, it delivers a range of adrenaline-fuelled experiences including ziplining, quad biking, rope courses, paintball, laser tag, archery, target shooting, scooter rides and remote-control car circuits, alongside physical challenge trails that build teamwork and confidence. All activities are professionally managed under strict safety protocols, ensuring excitement and security go hand in hand.

Balancing the thrills are family-friendly attractions such as a mini zoo, sensory play areas, face painting, Hot Wheels experiences and classic carnival games, allowing visitors of all ages to share the same space while enjoying experiences tailored to their interests.

For many families, the setting itself enhances the experience. “The outdoor setting along the valley, with the cool breeze and open space, makes the night feel peaceful yet full of life,” said Kamla al Farsi, a mother visiting Muscat Nights. “I’ve visited several venues, but this one truly stands out for its atmosphere and adventure rides. The children especially love the bumper cars, archery and the zipline.”

Twelve-year old Numair al Riyami described conquering the long zipline as his highlight. “I was nervous at first, but seeing the whole venue from above made it worth it,” he said. “After that, I felt brave enough to try the climbing wall and even ride the biggest horse. It was the best feeling ever.” he concluded.

Undergraduate student Waleed al Balushi said the venue appeals to all age groups. “The virtual-reality racing simulator was intense — you feel every turn and brake,” he said. “And the mini zoo was a surprise. Interacting with snakes and giant lizards was unbelievable.”

Open from 5 pm to 11 pm on weekdays and until midnight at weekends, with fireworks lighting up the sky every weekend at 8.30 pm, Wadi Al Khoudh continues to energise Muscat Nights — proving that in this valley, adventure truly takes centre stage.
