The number of visitors to the Wilayat of Al Jabal al Akhdar in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah, during the period from January until the end of December of the year 2025, was 222,151 visitors, compared to 203,629 visitors during the same period of the year 2024, a 9.1 percent increase.
According to statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the number of Omani visitors to the state of Al Jabal Al Akhdar during the year 2025 was 82,142, followed by Saudis (14,957), Emiratis (1,588), Bahrainis (699), Kuwaitis (1,441 ), and Qataris (779)
The number of visitors from other Arab nationalities was 9,902, while foreign nationalities constituted the largest percentage of visitors (110,643).
The availability of many hotel facilities, rest houses, and tourist lodges, and the holding of various events have contributed to attracting tourists.
In addition, the state is considered one of the most important areas for ecotourism and adventure tourism, where visitors can enjoy various activities such as walking in valleys, visiting caves, and practicing mountain climbing, which in turn contributes to getting to know the local culture in the villages of the state, which enhances its appeal as an integrated tourist destination.
