With the Muscat Nights Festival 2026 only around half a month away, Muscat Municipality has intensified its preparations by floating tenders or awarding contracts for various activities to be held across the capital.
As the Muscat Nights will include concerts, recitals, and theatrical performances from the Gulf and Arab regions, in addition to concerts targeting popular artistic communities, it will give opportunities to attract singers, artists, reciters, and theatrical groups to perform at the various venues associated with the Muscat Nights events.
It has awarded contracts for organizing and operating beach activities in Sur al Hadid, Marketing and promotion of Muscat Nights, and an E-gaming event at Al Amerat Park.
One of the venues is Al Qurum Natural Park, which spans 1.7 million sqm and is the largest in Oman. It is known for winding paths, fountains, a theater, and a playground.
The capital, Muscat, is among the trending destinations for four in five (79 percent) travellers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) who plan to go on more or the same number of holidays in 2026 compared to 2025, the Marriott Bonvoy said in its 2026 EMEA Ticket to Travel Report.
