AL RUSTAQ: Sanad Service Centres in Al Batinah South Governorate constitute one of the main pillars of the system of economic and service activities, thus lending optimum support to the growing commercial and investment drive in the governorate.

Sanad Service Centres contribute to facilitating government procedures, enhancing the business environment and enabling entrepreneurs and citizens to complete their transactions in an efficient and rapid manner.

The Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in Al Batinah South Governorate affirmed that Sanad Service Centres represent an important link between government institutions and beneficiaries, thanks to their role in streamlining services in line with the trends of digital transition.

Tarik bin Nasser al Harrasi, Director of the Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in Al Batinah South Governorate, said that 85 centres operate in various wilayats of the governorate. He added that the balanced geographic distribution of the centres reflects the keenness of the competent authorities to ensure that services reach the largest possible segment of beneficiaries.

He explained that the 85 Sanad Service Centres in Al Batinah South Governorate are distributed as follows: 39 in Barka, 20 in Al Rustaq, 17 in Al Musannah, 5 in Nakhal, 2 Al Awabi and 2 in Wadi Al Maawil.

Al Harrasi pointed out that Sanad Service Centres in Al Batinah South Governorate provide direct employment opportunities for 213 Omanis. This reflects the centres' central role in supporting employment and human resource development, in addition to their contribution to motivating the private sector and enabling small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to continue and grow.

He affirmed that the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion is keen to increase the number of government services provided through Sanad Service Centres, in addition to expanding their scope in a manner that meets the needs of beneficiaries and augments the efficiency and quality of service performance.

Al Harrasi said that during the past 20 years, Sanad Service Centres saw remarkable growth that enabled them to keep pace with economic developments and contribute to the business and investment environment.

He explained that at the 2nd Sanad Centres Forum held recently, the ministry unveiled a number of initiatives that aim to develop the centres’ work environment, raise the efficiency of their employees and enhance partnership with the private sector — with the prime objective of consolidating the centres’ role as service platforms that support economic growth.

He stressed that the overall development of Sanad Service Centres and the sustainability of their services align with the goals of Oman Vision 2040. This drive, he explained, seeks to highlight the status of Al Batinah Governorate South as an attractive investment hub and as a supporter of economic and commercial activity in Oman. - ONA
