Al Amerat Club continued its dominance in the Omani Beach Soccer League, clinching the 2025–2026 season title for the third straight time after a thrilling 7–6 victory over Al Oruba in the final, held at the sandy pitch of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. With this achievement, Al Amerat retained the league shield, while Al Oruba slipped to third place. Masirah Club secured second place after defeating Saham 6–2 in the match that preceded the final.
The award ceremony was held under the auspices of Abdullah bin Ali al Rashidi, a member of the Oman Football Association Board, in the presence of Mohammed bin Sulaiman al Yahmadi, Secretary-General of the Association, along with several club officials.
A THRILLING FINAL
The final delivered high drama from start to finish. Al Amerat took an early lead through Ahmed al Owaisi, but Muslim al Arimi quickly equalised for Al Oruba. Al Oruba then went ahead through goalkeeper Majid al Afari, ending the first period with a 2–1 lead.
In the second period, Al Oruba strengthened their advantage with two more goals from Muslim al Araimi and Abdullah al Mukhaini. Khalid al Araimi reduced the deficit for Al Amerat, as the second period ended 4–2 in Al Oruba’s favour.
Al Amerat mounted a strong comeback in the third period, with goals from Khalid al Araimi and Sami al Balushi. Al Oruba regained the lead through Muslim al Araimi, but Sami al Balushi responded with two quick goals to put Al Amerat ahead 6–5. In the final moments, Fahad al Meshikhi equalised for Al Oruba, forcing the match into a decisive fourth period. It was Al Amerat who had the last word, as Salim al Araimi scored the winning goal just 30 seconds from time to secure the title.
MASIRAH CLAIM SECOND PLACE
In the match before the final, Masirah Club dominated Saham and claimed a deserved 6–2 victory to finish as league runners-up. The goals were scored by Younis al Owaisi, Yousef al Zadjali, Sherif al Balushi and Khalfan al Ghazali, in a performance that highlighted Masirah’s technical and organisational superiority.
Al Amerat head coach Jalal al Sinani expressed his pride in winning a third consecutive title, crediting the club’s technical and administrative stability and strong backing from the management. He also praised the fighting spirit of his players and the tough challenge posed by Al Oruba in the final.
Sami al Balushi, one of Al Amerat’s standout players, said the final was a true test of the team’s strength, adding that discipline and physical and mental readiness were key factors in securing the championship.
Al Oruba coach Ahmed Mishal, despite the painful last-minute defeat, said he was satisfied with his team’s performance, praising the spirit of his young players throughout a long and demanding season, and noting that finishing third was still a positive outcome.
Meanwhile, Masirah player Yahya al Arimi said that finishing second was the result of strong commitment and teamwork, stressing that the team imposed its technical and tactical style against Saham and deserved the victory.
