

Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, received on Saturday Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his official visit.
During the meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the President, along with his best wishes for continued health and happiness, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly Iranian people.
The Iranian President asked Sayyid Badr to convey his sincere greetings and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan, and his best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the deep and strong bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and ways to enhance them in various fields in a manner that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries and strengthens the foundations of good neighborliness.
The interview also touched on several regional issues related to security and stability, and both sides stressed the importance of strengthening the climate of trust and cooperation in the region, and adopting diplomatic approaches as the main path to address current challenges, in a way that contributes to reducing tensions, preserving the sovereignty of states and consolidating the foundations of regional peace.
The Iranian President expressed his country’s appreciation for the constructive role played by the Sultanate of Oman in supporting efforts aimed at reaching balanced understandings that contribute to strengthening regional stability.
The Foreign Minister expressed his deep appreciation to the Iranian leadership for their support of these efforts and the course of talks aimed at establishing peace and strengthening the foundations of security and stability in the region and the world.
Sayyid Badr also held official talks with Dr. Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, during their meeting in Tehran.
Both sides stressed the importance of protecting the region from the growing challenges that threaten its security and stability, and the necessity of avoiding policies and practices that could fuel tensions or undermine regional peace.
The two ministers exchanged in-depth views on a wide range of regional and international issues of common interest, including developments in the Middle East, regional security, efforts to de-escalate tensions, and a number of current international issues.
Both sides stressed the importance of adopting dialogue and diplomacy as a fundamental approach to addressing disputes, and promoting peaceful coexistence through positive cooperation and building mutual trust among all countries in the region, in order to establish security and stability and deepen common interests and benefits among all parties.
In this context, the two sides discussed developments in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that the Palestinian cause remains the primary and central issue and that achieving justice for it is a cornerstone of security and stability in the region
