MUSCAT: Total domestic natural gas production, including imports, reached around 52,136,700,000 cubic metres by the end of November 2025, marking a modest increase of 0.6 per cent compared with the same period in 2024, when output stood at 51,829,200,000 cubic metres. The growth reflects steady upstream performance despite mixed trends across gas segments.


Associated gas production recorded a strong rise of 11 per cent to reach 11,737,000,000 cubic metres. In contrast, non-associated gas production, including imports, declined by 2.1 per cent to 40,399,700,000 cubic metres, according to official figures.


Statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information showed that overall natural gas consumption also increased by 0.6 per cent, reaching 52.1367 billion cubic metres by the end of November 2025.


Gas consumption for electricity generation rose by 1.4 per cent to 14.2736 billion cubic metres, reflecting higher power demand. Consumption in industrial areas increased sharply by 11.6 per cent, while usage in industrial projects fell by 3.6 per cent during the same period. — ONA
