MUSCAT: Maj Gen Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, received in his office on Sunday a delegation from the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College, headed by Brigadier Nael Mohammed al Shqeirat.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Mohammed bin Ahmed al Mushaikhi, Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College. During the meeting, several matters of mutual interest were discussed, particularly in academic fields.
The Jordanian delegation visited the Joint Command and Staff College at the Academy, where they were received by Brigadier Mohammed bin Ahmed al Mushaikhi.
During the visit, the delegation viewed a visual presentation about the college and its diverse training and educational programmes. This was followed by a tour of the college's facilities, including its various departments, systems and equipment.
The delegation also visited the National Defence College at Bait Al Falaj, where they were received by Air Commodore Yasser bin Ali al Rahbi, Assistant Commandant of the National Defence College.
The delegation was briefed on the college’s strategic curriculum, which focuses on preparing national cadres capable of strategic decision-making at various levels. They also toured the college’s different departments and facilities.
The Jordanian delegation also visited the Centre for Strategic and Defence Studies at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies in Bait Al Falaj.
Upon arrival, they were received by the Acting Head of the Centre. The visiting delegation listened to a briefing on the various roles and tasks undertaken by the centre and was informed about the key activities and events in its specialised fields. - ONA
