The Royal Oman Police (ROP) will celebrate its annual day and the graduation of officer cadets and a skills development course for officers on January 5.

Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, will patronize the Royal Oman Police's annual day celebrations.

ROP said in a statement that it values the cooperation of citizens of residents in its efforts to better serve society.

The Sultanate of Oman is ranked among the world’s ten safest countries in 2024, according to the Global Safety Report of Gallup International Research.

Oman also scored highly on the “Law and Order Index,” underscoring the steadfast commitment to upholding the highest standards of security and safety. The report highlighted that the combined focus on security and law enforcement plays a vital role in strengthening the widespread sense of safety among individuals.

The level of crime in Oman is very low, including worries about home broken and things stolen, worries about being mugged or robbed, worries about a car being stolen, or about things stolen from the car.

Oman secured fourth place worldwide on the index of countries where residents feel the highest levels of safety, particularly at night.
