His Majesty visits Cyber Defence Centre

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, paid a Royal visit on Wednesday to the Cyber Defence Centre in the Governorate of Muscat. During the visit, His Majesty was briefed on the Centre’s principal responsibilities and roles it performs to protect Oman’s cyberspace.

Upon the arrival of His Majesty’s motorcade, he was greeted by Lt. Gen. Said bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service (ISS), alongside some senior ISS officers.

His Majesty the Sultan then proceeded on an inspection tour of the Centre’s facilities, where he examined its advanced systems and operational capabilities, observed the incident response mechanisms for cybersecurity threats, and took note of plans for developing and upskilling national cadres in this field.

His Majesty, the Supreme Commander, gave his directives to continuously align with technological advancements across all relevant disciplines.

At the end of the visit, His Majesty took a commemorative photo with the personnel of the Centre.
