NIZWA: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, conferred the Medals of Royal Commendation, excellent service, and proficiency upon several senior officers of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA).


On this occasion, Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, handed over the medals on Monday at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences in Nizwa.


Al Khalili congratulated the officers on this high royal honour, which comes in recognition of the continuous efforts made by the personnel of the ROP and the Authority to advance the nation under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.


Furthermore, the Chairman of the State Council, the Chief Guest of the Royal Oman Police Annual Day celebrations, presented certificates of appreciation to several senior officers of the ROP and the CDAA in recognition of their long service and distinguished contributions.


The ceremony was attended by Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsin al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, Maj Gen Abdullah bin Ali al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, Maj Gen Khalifa bin Ali al Siyabi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Administrative and Financial Affairs and several senior officers of the Royal Oman Police. — ONA
