

IBRI: Al Dhahirah Governorate on Tuesday announced the details and events of Al Dhahirah Tourism Festival 2026, which will be held from January 8 to February 6, 2026.
The announcement event was held in the presence of Najeeb bin Ali al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah and General Supervisor of the festival.
Ahmed bin Rashid al Marshoudi, Director of the Communication and Media Department at the Governor's Office, reviewed the features of the festival's new edition, which will be held under the slogan "Something Different." He underlined the governorate's keenness to present a renewed tourism and entertainment experience that meets the aspirations of various segments of society and reflects the governorate's tourism and cultural assets.
The introductory meeting covered the festival's main events, which range from international entertainment shows, artistic concerts, and poetry evenings to cultural and heritage events, children's activities, a heritage village, a consumer market, and a hall for international restaurants and cafes. This enhances the festival's standing as a family destination during the winter season.
The developmental aspects of the festival were also reviewed during the event. These included diversifying events, expanding the scope of participation and attracting international performances being held for the first time in Al Dhahirah Governorate, such as the Monte Carlo International shows. Additionally, a daily global carnival featuring giant robot displays and mobile entertainment performances within the festival site will be held, along with daily international folkloric performances.
