

KHASAB: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada) in Musandam Governorate inaugurated the Technology and Crafts Exhibition, highlighting the governorate’s rich cultural heritage through a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology.
The exhibition features the participation of local craftsmen who showcased traditional crafts for which Musandam is renowned, reflecting authenticity, creativity and cultural identity.
The initiative aims to enhance product quality, expand marketing opportunities, raise competitiveness and support the sustainability of craft-based enterprises. It also aligns with Riyada’s broader efforts to empower craftsmen through modern training programmes focused on technology, design, marketing and management.
Manea al Shehhi, Director of SME Development in Musandam, said the exhibition reflects Riyada’s commitment to supporting craftsmen by providing platforms for display and market access, while preserving national heritage and contributing to economic development.
The exhibition coincides with Winter Musandam activities, which aim to stimulate tourism and economic activity while highlighting the governorate’s cultural and heritage assets. — ONA
