BARKA: The Al Batinah South Governorate and the German University of Technology (GUtech) signed a memorandum of cooperation to enhance areas of collaboration and academic partnership, supporting institutional work and building national capacities.

The memorandum was signed by Eng Masoud bin Said al Hashmi, Governor of Al Batinah South, and Dr Hussein bin Sulaiman al Salmi, Deputy Rector for Administration and Finance of the German University of Technology (GUtech).

The memorandum aims to strengthen institutional cooperation in areas of mutual interest, build capacities, and launch a series of specialised seminars, training, awareness, scientific, and practical programmes in cybersecurity, computer science, artificial intelligence, logistics management, and other related fields.

This will facilitate the provision of technical consultations and the finding of practical solutions to challenges facing institutions. The memorandum would facilitate joint meetings between the two parties, encourage and support student projects and leverage the expertise of both sides in implementing joint programmes and projects.
