National exercise “Homeland Readiness 2025” to be held in muscat

Muscat: The National Emergency Management Committee will conduct the national exercise “Homeland Readiness 2025” on December 23 and 24 in the Governorate of Muscat.

The exercise is a practical simulation designed to test preparedness and response mechanisms in dealing with weather conditions that lead to heavy rainfall affecting residents and essential services across the Sultanate.

The exercise will see the participation of several government entities, including the Royal Oman Police, the Ministry of Defence, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and the Subcommittee for Emergency Management in Muscat Governorate.

Other participating bodies include the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Social Development, and the Authority for Public Services Regulation.

The objectives of the exercise include raising the readiness and efficiency of response teams, enhancing joint coordination among concerned entities in managing emergency situations, achieving an integrated and effective response that contributes to the protection of lives and property, and strengthening public safety and security at the national level.
