

DOHA: The Royal Guard of Oman Band delivered a dazzling musical performance during the opening ceremony of the first edition of the Doha International Music and Pedestrian Festival 2025, held at Katara Cultural Village in Doha.
The performance captivated audiences with its precision, discipline and rich musical repertoire, reflecting Oman’s distinguished military music heritage.
The event was attended by Lt Gen (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed al Mannai, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, alongside Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah al Busaidy, Ambassador of Oman to Qatar, in addition to senior officials, diplomats and invited guests.
The participation of the Royal Guard of Oman Band comes at the invitation of the Qatari Ministry of Interior, reaffirming the band’s prominent international standing and its reputation for excellence in military music. The festival brings together elite military and artistic bands from various countries, serving as a platform to promote cultural and artistic exchange while showcasing the art of disciplined musical formations and ceremonial displays.
Organisers noted that the Doha International Music and Pedestrian Festival aims to strengthen ties between nations through music, choreography and pageantry, highlighting the role of military bands in fostering cultural diplomacy.
The Royal Guard of Oman Band presented musical performances throughout the festival. The band also took part in Qatar’s National Day parade, contributing to the official celebrations marking the country’s National Day. - ONA
