Heavy thunderstorms and rainfall of varying intensities, ranging from 20 to 60 mm, are expected in the Mussandam Governorate in the coming hours due to the low-pressure system, which can lead to flowing wadis.

Warnings include active downdrafts with speeds ranging from 15 to 35 knots, high sea waves along the coasts of Musandam Governorate and the coasts of the Sea of Oman, ranging from 1.5 to 2.0 meters, and reduced horizontal visibility during rains.

The effects will continue in the governorates of Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah, and South Al Batinah, as well as parts of the Hajar Mountains, with scattered rain that may be thundery at times and could lead to flash flooding in wadis and some valleys.

The Civil Aviation Authority urged everyone to take precautions during thunderstorms, avoid crossing wadis, stay away from low-lying areas, and refrain from going to sea during the warning period.
