CDAA launches vehicles to deal with hazardous incidents

In the presence of Dr. Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, the Minister of Health, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) launched the activities of the international evaluation of the search and rescue team.

CDAA also inaugurated special advanced vehicles to deal with hazardous materials incidents at its headquarters in Muscat.

The event's activities included a screening of a documentary about the authority and a special film about the search and rescue team, highlighting its field efforts locally and its efficiency in handling incidents, as well as its international participations in relief missions, including the 2015 Nepal earthquake and the 2023 Turkiye earthquake.

An introductory tour of the laboratories was conducted to review the latest equipment of the specialized teams, and the launch of hazardous materials accident vehicles, which confirms the readiness of the advanced authority and its high efficiency in dealing with various accidents.
