MUSCAT: The Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences on Tuesday received a new group of citizens holding the General Education Diploma (GED) certificate to begin their training programme before joining service at the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
The new police recruits have successfully completed the evaluation process in coordination with the Ministry of Labour. They undergo training at the Police Institute for New Recruits at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences.
During the training programme, the new police recruits will acquire the fundamental skills and basics of police work as well as legal and academic knowledge. The programme also includes various courses on handling different security situations.
