

MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Indonesia held the 2nd session of political talks in Muscat.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, and Mohammad Anis Matta, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, jointly led the session. They reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in the areas of economic cooperation, investment and cultural exchange. They also exchanged views on the most prominent regional and international issues of common concern.
At the conclusion of the session, they signed an Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visas for holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports between the Governments of the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Indonesia.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed al Hosni, Head of the Asia and Pacific Department at the Foreign Ministry, Mohamad Irzan Djohan, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of officials from both sides. — ONA
