MUSCAT: Continuing his outstanding run in badminton, Himnish Shahlot , a student of Indian School Muscat (ISM), has won the silver medal in the Under-17, XD category at the CBSE National Badminton Tournament held in Haryana, India from September 27 to October 1, 2025.


Representing Indian School Muscat, Himnish showcased exceptional skill throughout the tournament, securing a second place among the best school-level players from across India and abroad.


This achievement adds another feather to his cap — two years ago, he had won the bronze medal in Under-14 XD category at the CBSE Nationals held in Rajasthan.


A consistent performer, Himnish currently holds the No 1 ranking in Oman in the Under-17 category, having clinched titles in all major tournaments held across Oman. His dedication, discipline, and passion for the sport have made him one of the most promising young shuttlers in the region.


The school management, teachers, and parents have expressed immense pride in his accomplishments, lauding his commitment and hard work. Himnish continues to train rigorously, aiming to represent Oman and India at higher international levels in the future.
