His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, will grace the Grand Military Parade to be staged at Al Fateh Square in the Governorate of Muscat on Thursday, within the context of the nationwide celebration of the Glorious National Day.

The parade will include participating units from the Royal Army of Oman, the Royal Air Force of Oman, the Royal Navy of Oman, the Royal Guard of Oman, the Sultan’s Special Force, the Royal Oman Police, the Royal Court Affairs and the Firaq Forces, alongside joint and mounted military music bands.

This event occurs as the Sultan's Armed Forces, under the prosperous reign of His Majesty the Sultan, are achieving qualitative leaps in development and modernisation. These advancements have strengthened their combat readiness, operational efficiency, and active role in defending the nation and maintaining security and stability across Oman.

In a separate event, His Majesty the Sultan will also preside over the Naval Fleet Parade 2025 on Friday in the Governorate of Muscat.

Held in cooperation with the Secretariat-General for National Celebrations, the naval parade will feature a number of vessels from the Royal Navy of Oman, the Royal Yachts, and boats from the Royal Oman Police, with additional participation from ships belonging to the GCC navies.

This parade reflects the rich heritage of Omani maritime history, which for centuries has been a cornerstone of Oman's strength, stability and global engagement. It highlights a renewed present where the sea serves as a strategic depth for Oman, fostering international cooperation, cultural exchange and development, while supporting economic diversification programmes under the Oman Vision 2040.

Both celebrations will be attended alongside His Majesty the Sultan by an assembly of Their Highnesses, Excellencies, senior military and civilian officials and a gathering of citizens. - ONA
