The Oman Tennis Association (OTA) continues its development programmes by engaging national junior boys’ and girls’ teams in international competitions aimed at gaining more ranking points and enhancing players’ technical skills through exposure to higher levels of play.
The Under-10 national team will take part in the Dubai Bowl Tournament, which will be held in the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from October 25 to November 2, organised by the UAE Tennis Federation in cooperation with the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
The team delegation includes players Omar al Shaibani, Hatim al Rahbi, Hood al Hashmi and Fayadh al Hilali, under the supervision of coach Nabil Dube and team official Mohammed al Dairi.
Meanwhile, player Sarah al Maskari will represent Oman in the 'Champions of Tomorrow' programme, hosted by King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from October 28 to November 1. She was nominated by the OTA following an official invitation to participate in this event, which aims to discover and develop promising young tennis talents.
