

Muscat: His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, concluded his two-day State Visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
At the Royal Airport, His Excellency was seen off by His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, along with several senior Omani officials.
During the visit, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Erdoğan held official talks at Al Alam Palace, reaffirming the two nations’ commitment to strengthening trade, industrial and strategic cooperation.
The two leaders witnessed the signing of a joint declaration, a joint statement, six agreements, and eight memorandums of understanding, covering sectors such as investment, defence industries, food and technology, and education.
A joint statement issued at the conclusion of the visit highlighted the mutual visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports, support for GCC-Turkey free trade negotiations, and a shared stance on the importance of a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the pursuit of a two-state solution.
The visit underscored the depth of Oman-Turkey relations, paving the way for broader cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and scientific fields.
