His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Türkiye held a session of talks at Al Alam Palace on Wednesday.
At the outset of the session, His Majesty the Sultan reiterated his welcome to President Erdogan and his accompanying delegation. On his turn, President Erdogan expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the warm welcome and hospitality.
The session reviewed the historical ties and the relations of cooperation and partnership between the two countries, as well as means of promoting them to serve interests of the two countries’ peoples. The two leaders also discussed a set of regional and international topics of mutual interest.
The session of talks was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr Hamed bin Said al Aufi, Head of Private Office of His Majesty the Sultan, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and Saif bin Rashid al Jahwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Türkiye.
Meanwhile, it was attended from the Turkish side by Necmettin Bilal Erdogan, son of the President, Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister, Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Yasar Guler, Minister of Defence, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, Omer Bolat, Minister of Trade, Mehmet Hakimoğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, to the Sultanate of Oman and several officials.
Earlier, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his spouse Emine Erdogan arrived here on a two-day state visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik led the welcoming party for the Turkish President and his accompanying delegation. When the jet of President Erdogan touched ground at the Royal Airport, His Majesty the Sultan met the guest at the foot of the ramp, welcoming him and wishing him and the accompanying delegation a successful visit and a pleasant stay.
Her Highness The Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, also welcomed the Turkish President and his spouse upon their arrival. - ONA
