Women leaders forum to champion empowerment

Under the theme 'Women Leaders: Pioneering and Empowering', the Omani Women’s Association in Al Khabourah is set to host an inspiring forum on Thursday, celebrating women’s leadership and growing influence in community and national development.

Held under the auspices of Dr Hanifa bint Ahmed al Qasmiyah, the event will bring together prominent female leaders, including directors of government departments, school principals, entrepreneurs and community initiative pioneers. The forum aims to highlight women’s contributions to leadership, promote participation in decision-making and strengthen their role in achieving the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040.

In a creative and forward-looking opening, the event will feature a welcome address delivered by an AI-powered virtual speaker, symbolising the integration of technology and innovation in modern leadership.

The programme includes working papers and panel discussions on key topics such as self-awareness and leadership growth, communication and decision-making skills, teamwork and strategic planning, and empowering women with effective management tools.

Dr Yasmin al Balushi, Senior Adviser at the Royal Academy of Management, will deliver the keynote address, sharing insights on leadership excellence and how women can create meaningful impact within their organisations and communities.

Two additional papers will explore how women can empower themselves in society and lead change through community-driven initiatives.

Commenting on the event, Moza al Hosni, Head of the Omani Women’s Association in Al Khabourah, said: “This forum is not just a gathering of women leaders; it is a movement of empowerment, dialogue and collaboration. Through this platform, we aim to strengthen women’s confidence in their leadership potential and encourage them to take an active role in shaping the future of their communities.”
