

AL RUSTAQ: The Imam Azzan bin Qais Mosque was opened in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq in Al Batinah South Governorate, under the auspices of Dr Mohammed bin Said al Maamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, on Friday.
The mosque represents a distinguished religious and architectural addition to the Wilayat of Al Rustaq. The built-up area occupies approximately 3,500 square metres, while the total land area, including parking, is approximately 10,000 square metres. It can accommodate some 1,000 worshippers in the internal and external prayer halls, while the women’s prayer hall can accommodate 150 worshippers.
With a total cost exceeding RO 400,000, the mosque boasts a library to serve mosque visitors and provide religious and scientific references, a general council on the upper floor to serve as a meeting and consultation centre, an administrative office, and rooms designated for the imam and the attendants, among other facilities.
The mosque features a beautiful architectural design and is surrounded by a fully enclosed wall with ample parking spaces. — ONA
