The fifth round of the 2025–2026 Jetour Cup Football Championship featured a series of thrilling and competitive matches that reshaped the standings in both groups, as clubs continued their fierce race for qualification to the knockout stages.
GROUP ONE HIGHLIGHTS
Al Nasr continued their strong run with a commanding 3–0 victory over Bahla at the Salalah Sports Complex. Beninese professional Abdoul Fadil Saonina opened the scoring, while substitute Abdullah al Mashrafi added two goals in the second half to secure a well-deserved win. This result lifted Al Nasr to eight points at the top of the group, remaining unbeaten with two wins and two draws. Bahla, on the other hand, stayed on four points in sixth place despite creating several scoring chances.
In another exciting clash, Sur edged past Seeb with a 2–1 victory at the Sur Sports Complex. Sami al Hasni gave Sur the lead in the 17th minute before Seeb’s Mohammed al Musallami accidentally scored an own goal. Seeb’s only goal came when Sur defender Abdulrahman al Buraiki mistakenly turned the ball into his own net in the 55th minute. The win took Sur to six points, strengthening their mid-table position, while Seeb remained second with seven points.
Meanwhile, Oman Club maintained their positive momentum with an emphatic 4–1 win over Samayil at the Nizwa Sports Complex. Husni al Hinai opened the scoring in the 27th minute, followed by Waleed al Musallami just before halftime. Al Harith al Mukhaini made it 3–0 in the 61st minute before Al Hinai struck again in the 74th. Saeed al Jabri scored a late consolation for Samayil. Oman Club’s victory took them to seven points, level with Seeb, while Samayil stayed on five points.
After this round, the Group One standings were as follows Al Nasr topped Group One with eight points, followed by Seeb and Oman Club with seven points each. Sur climbed to fourth place with six points, while Samayil remained fifth with five. Bahla ranked sixth with four points and Dhofar stayed at the bottom with three.
GROUP TWO HIGHLIGHTS
In Group Two, Sohar and Ibri shared the spoils in a 1–1 draw at the Sohar Sports Complex. Mohammed al Buraiki put Sohar ahead in the 51st minute, but Abdulrahman al Yaqoubi equalised for Ibri from the penalty spot in the 71st minute, after Sohar’s Saif al Dhabari was sent off. Despite being a man down, Sohar held firm to earn a point, leaving both teams satisfied.
Another match saw Al Nahda and Al Khabourah play out an exciting 2–2 draw at the Al Rustaq Sports Complex. Zakariya al Qartoubi and Colin Anthony scored for Al Khabourah, while Perry Jean Marie and Chardak Lokomi netted for Al Nahda in a game full of intensity until the final whistle.
Meanwhile, Al Rustaq claimed a crucial 2–0 win over Al Shabab at the Al Rustaq Club Stadium. Hamza Magdy and Issa al Baridai found the net, confirming Al Rustaq’s readiness to challenge for the top positions.
Following these results, the Group Two standings were Al Nahda leading the standings on goal difference with eight points, level with Sohar in second place. Ibri followed closely with seven points, while Al Rustaq and Al Shabab shared six points each. Saham collected three points in sixth place, and Al Khabourah remained last with two.
