Pact inked to build first mosque using 3d-print in Salalah

Salalah: An agreement was signed on Thursday in Dhofar Governorate to implement a project to build a mosque by using 3D printing technology.

The design of the building of al Khair Mosque uses the latest environmental-friendly construction techniques, as part of the waterfront development plan in al Dahariz area of in the Wilayat of ​​Salalah.

The signing ceremony was attended by HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar.

The agreement was signed by Dr Ahmed bin Mohsen al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality and Eng. Yasser bin Said al Barami, the project financier.

The project will be carried out by Innotek Oman (a company specialized in 3D printing construction technologies) in partnership with Adi Architects.

Upon its completion, al Khair Mosque is expected to constitute a prominent urban landmark, combining originality and innovation and reflecting Dhofar Governorate's status as a sustainable destination that preserves its cultural identity, while at the same time keeping pace with future aspirations.
