MUSCAT: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has launched a strategic knowledge-exchange programme with the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
Marking a significant milestone in strengthening international partnerships, the programme aims to foster collaboration in the area of public sector leadership through the exchange of government expertise between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation. It will further support leadership development and promote global best practices in public administration. The participants include Russian government officials enrolled in an Executive Master’s in Public Administration.
The bespoke knowledge-exchange programme is designed to enrich the knowledge and perspectives of the participants, offering them a deep dive into Oman’s modern approaches to governance and leadership. By facilitating this exchange of knowledge and expertise, the programme will strengthen bilateral cooperation and showcase Oman’s effective achievements and experiences in public administration on the global stage.
Held from September 28 to October 4, the programme embodies RAM’s strategic vision of expanding international cooperation and creating new platforms for knowledge exchange that support the public administration sector. It also offers Omani leaders invaluable insights and exposure to emerging global trends in governance, economics and leadership, enhancing their strategic perspective and leadership acumen.
Khalid al Shaqsi, RAM’s Director of Academic Affairs and International Cooperation, said, “This programme is a direct outcome of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Royal Academy of Management and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration earlier this year. It aligned with the historic visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Russian Federation, where he met with President Vladimir Putin.”
He added, “This initiative transcends a mere exchange of knowledge; it represents a decisive, strategic and concrete step to deepen bilateral relations, expand leadership perspectives, and open new avenues for collaboration in the areas of governance, management and public policy.”
The knowledge-exchange programme underscores RAM’s commitment to being a leading institution in fostering international partnerships in leadership and management. Exchanging expertise with reputed institutions abroad, such as RANEPA, RAM continues to contribute to strengthening Oman’s position as a dynamic hub for fostering constructive dialogue and building strategic global partnerships.
