Two student teams will represent Oman at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) international final, which brings together students from over 95 countries, to showcase innovative solutions in science, technology and engineering through robotics. The event will take place from November 26 to 28 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.

In the RoboMission senior category, Arnav Jaykrishnan and Parsa Khalili from the British School Muscat are competing, while in the junior category, Joel Ginson from the Indian School Al Maabela is taking part.

Each year, thousands of young talents from around the globe compete across different categories and age groups, making WRO a true celebration of STEM, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving.

In Oman, Roboticktick Institute organised the national qualifier, where more than 50 local teams from schools across the country competed for the chance to represent Oman on the world stage.

All students demonstrated outstanding skill, creativity and teamwork during the national qualifier, securing first place in their respective categories. Their achievement highlights the growing strength of robotics education in Oman and the dedication of students who are eager to compete on a global level.

“As they prepare for the finals in Singapore, these young innovators carry not only their robots but also the pride of Oman, aiming to raise the nation’s flag high in this prestigious international competition. We hope many more students will be motivated to learn about robotics and contribute to the development of the country and their futures,” said Vahid, one of the organisers of the event.
