

Salalah: Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, arrived here in the Sultanate of Oman this morning on a private fraternal visit.
His Majesty accorded a warm welcome to the UAE President, upon his arrival at Salalah Royal Airport. Accompanying His Majesty at the reception were Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham al Said, Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar, as well as a number of ministers and senior officials.
The reception line also included Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court, General Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority, Dr Sayyid Ahmad bin Hilal al Busaidi, Ambassador of Oman to the UAE, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid al Maktoum, Ambassador of the UAE to Oman.
After passing between two rows of the Honour Guard of the Royal Guard of Oman, the motorcade carrying His Majesty the Sultan and his guest proceeded to Al Husn Palace.
Later, His Majesty and Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, held a fraternal meeting at Al Husn Palace in Salalah.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed a number of matters of mutual interest. They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two countries in a manner that contributes to economic prosperity and serves the aspirations of both Omani and Emirati peoples.
The discussions further touched on efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region in fulfilment of the peoples’ hopes for secure and dignified lives.
