The 34th edition of the Communications and Information Technology Exhibition (COMEX 2025) was launched today at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre under the auspices of HH bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs. The four-day event is organised by Arabian Data Analytics and supervised and supported by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology.
This year’s edition showcases the latest technological trends, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, the space industry, digital transformation, and modern technologies. It also highlights innovative solutions in health, education, e-commerce, and smart government services, reflecting Oman’s digital transformation journey under Oman Vision 2040.
The exhibition features the participation of government agencies from various sectors engaged in digital transformation and smart services. The programme includes the signing of agreements and contracts, the launch of new digital initiatives and projects, and a series of specialised forums and dialogue sessions. Key highlights are the Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing Forum, the E-Commerce Forum, and the Banking Services and Financial Technologies Forum.
Also part of the agenda are the Modernity Forum for Cybersecurity and sessions on digital transformation and future infrastructure, covering themes such as smart cities, fifth-generation networks, and digital sustainability. These forums provide an interactive platform for experts, decision-makers, and investors to explore global developments and exchange insights on the future of the digital economy in Oman.
This year’s edition also gives prominence to emerging technology firms through the Startup Zone, which hosts more than 140 companies, including 30 supported and nominated by the Ministry. The zone features agreement signings, the unveiling of innovative products and solutions, as well as specialised workshops and discussion sessions.
