

The 34th edition of the Communications and Information Technology Exhibition (COMEX 2025), which commenced at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday, highlighted innovative features that affirm the government's commitment to the digital transformation.
Comex 2025 was launched by His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ali bin Amer al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT), said that agreements worth over RO100 million will be signed during the course of Comex.
The Royal Oman Police rolled out an update to its official application, which includes details of family members, updates to phone numbers, and access to digital images of their children’s birth certificates.

The Digital Triangle Project will be a national initiative to develop three interconnected digital zones that form a regional gateway for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and advanced digital services. This project is based on green data centers, a world-class communications infrastructure via submarine cables and fiber optics.
