HM issues three Royal Decrees

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday issued three Royal decrees reading as follows:

Royal Decree No 65/2025 ratifies the framework agreement signed in the City of Muscat on 27 May 2025 for joint cooperation between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Article (1) ratifies the abovementioned agreement in accordance with the version attached to this decree.

Article (2) says this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No 66/2025 ratifies the agreement signed in the City of Astana on 29 May 2025 between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Kazakistan on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion on income and capital.

Article (1) ratifies the abovementioned agreement in accordance with the version attached to this decree.

Article (2) says this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No 67/2025 endorses the Sultanate of Oman’s joining Annex VI of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (1973).

Article (1) endorses the Sultanate of Oman’s joining Annex VI of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (1973), with respect to air pollution from ships, in accordance with the version attached to this decree.

Article (2) instructs the authorities concerned to deposit the Document for Joining the aforementioned Annex in accordance with its provisions.

Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
