Muscat: The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations has arrested two individuals of African nationality on charges of practising witchcraft and fraud.

The accused reportedly deceived a citizen by claiming they had the ability to heal and managed to seize more than RO 8,000 from him. Legal procedures are currently being completed against them.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) the public to seek treatment only from licensed health institutions and to remain cautious of individuals who exploit people’s needs to commit fraud.
