Holiday declared on occasion of Prophet’s birthday

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour has announced that Sunday, 7 September 2025 (14 Rabi al-Awwal 1447 AH) will be an official holiday for employees across Oman to mark the blessed anniversary of the Prophet’s Birthday.

The holiday applies to employees in units of the State’s Administrative Apparatus, other legal entities, and private sector establishments. Work may still be carried out on this day if necessary, provided that compensation is granted in line with applicable regulations.

On this occasion, the Ministry extended warm congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik – may Allah protect and preserve him – praying for his continued good health and long life, and for Oman and its people to enjoy lasting progress and prosperity.
