MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health concluded on Wednesday the Dhofar Forum for Health Digital Transformation with a series of recommendations aimed at accelerating digitalisation in the health sector and strengthening the cybersecurity system. These efforts are intended to improve the quality of health services and achieve the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

The two-day forum, held under the theme “Digitisation of health and innovation: Towards an outstanding, sustainable healthcare service”, saw broad participation from administrative, medical and nursing staff from health, military and security institutions, as well as representatives from the private sector.

The forum issued several key recommendations, including: Forming teams at the directorate-general level in the governorates to accelerate digital transformation; attracting specialised Omani talents to support the sustainability of this transformation; introducing the latest medical technologies to enhance the quality of health services and improve performance efficiency; increasing awareness of the risks of cyberattacks and ensuring data protection in health institutions. — ONA
