Salalah: A tourist lost his life in a tragic mountain climbing accident in the Wilayat of Mirbat, Dhofar Governorate.

Rescue and ambulance teams from the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority, with the help of local citizens, responded to the incident after the tourist slipped while attempting to climb a steep slope in Jabal Samhan. The fall caused him to sustain severe injuries that led to his death at the scene.

The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority urged citizens, residents, and visitors to exercise caution when visiting mountainous and elevated areas, particularly during the Khareef (monsoon) season, when trails become slippery and the likelihood of accidents increases.

The Authority emphasized the importance of following safety guidelines and preventive measures.
