Visitors view a blooming titan arum, also known as the corpse flower, which has blossomed for the first time in four years, at the University of Warsaw Botanic Garden in Warsaw, Poland, on Tuesday. Native to the equatorial rainforests of Sumatra, the giant corpse flower (Amorphophallus titanium) can reach heights of up to 10 feet (3 metres) and widths of around 5 feet (1.5 metres). It emits a pungent odor resembling rotting flesh to attract pollinating insects, earning its reputation as the world’s most malodorous flower. — Reuters
